Athens, TX (July, 2020)

IAAPA had to reinvent its trade show platform during a pandemic.  The virtual trade show was created to bring buyers and suppliers together across the globe during these trying times.  “IAAPA Virtual Expo: Asia” is IAAPA’s very first virtual trade show and Extreme Engineering’s first time participating.  To date, the virtual platform has over 100 global exhibitors ranging from Extreme Engineering’s popular Cloud Coasterä suspended roller coaster, master planners, other ride suppliers, to theming experts.  “I’m proud of IAAPA pivoting to a virtual platform.  We will miss the live show in Macau, but a virtual show is the next best way to connect all of us during this time,” states Executive Vice President Phil Wilson.

It’s estimated over 500 IAAPA members, across the globe, are registered to attend IAAPA’s virtual show during July 28th through July 30th. With over a dozen virtual educational sessions, networking lounges and designated exhibiting hours, the amusement industry has created a solution to deal with the economic and travel restrictions many face today.  “We would love to showcase our latest attractions, new coaster locations to even our new VP of Sales.  This is not a normal way to celebrate, but it is a way to still amplify what is new,” says Jeff Wilson, CEO of Extreme Engineering.

In just the last 8 weeks, Extreme Engineering’s Cloud Coaster project in Vinperal Land has opened, the roller coaster project for Doha Oasis has shipped, three new roller coaster attractions are being developed and they have also secured an industry professional, Pete Barto.  “We have so much to celebrate, whether it is on a show floor or online to the masses.  We are thankful to share it virtually,” says Phil Wilson.  Extreme Engineering will be live during IAAPA’s virtual expo with their complete sales team, including hosting a daily video happy hour at their virtual booth during 5:50PM China Standard Time.  Visit Extreme Engineering’s booth at “Rides 4 of 4” and don’t forget to instant message them.
